Whimple Cricket Club runs 5 colts sides consisting of under 10's soft-ball-pairs and 11 a-sides at under 11s, 1s, 14s, and 17s.

The colts play in the Bradleys sponsored East Devon youth league and have a particularly strong reputation.

Between 2003 and 2006 the colts had won the league 7 times and had been runners-up 5 times across the age ranges. The success of the colts continued in 2008 with the under 12’s finishing league winners without being beaten, the under 13’s and 14’s finished runners up, the under 15’s won the league finishing unbeaten and the under 17’s in their first year completed the double winning the league and cup .In 2009 the under 17's won the leaque and reached the semi-final of the cup.

The colts have developed a number of players who have represented the East Devon District teams and also achieved County honours.



2009 success was helped with the running of a 10 week indoor winter training programme.

Due to its success the club has again decided to run a similar programme.

The 10 week program started in Feburary and is run by Whimple’s coach Trevor Griffin.

Outdoor training for the colts takes place on Tuesday evenings 6-7.30 U10's,U11's,U12's & 7.00-8.30 U14's. The first outdoor session  is April 27th
